This course aims to obtain the ‘Picture Book Education Instructor’ certification issued by the Korea Cultural Talent Development Association and will be held over 12 sessions in the library’s digital resource room. After completion, participants can take the face-to-face exam directly in Ulleungdo, providing more practical opportunities for local residents.
Ulleungdo currently faces a shortage of professional instructors, resulting in high demand for Nuribom and Dolbom instructors. Starting with this instructor training course, the personnel produced through the ‘Instructor Capacity Building Course’ to be opened in the second half of the year will be able to conduct picture book education for both children and adults, contributing to the development of community education and emotional literacy.
Kim Il-young, director of Ulleungdo Library, expressed his commitment, saying, “Starting with this training course, we will nurture professional instructors in Ulleungdo and strive to make the library an open educational space that grows together with the local community.”
