Gyeonggi Fire Department Implements Comprehensive Ship Fire Safety Measures Last Year
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters has developed a 'Comprehensive Plan for Ship Fire Safety Management' to prevent ship fires, achieving significant results.
This comprehensive plan focuses on preventing ship fires in advance, expanding fire prevention infrastructure within ship mooring facilities, and strengthening autonomous safety management.
As part of the comprehensive plan, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that 64 experts, including fire station chiefs, directly visited 31 ship mooring facilities to conduct safety guidance, strengthened cooperation with the Coast Guard, and established 443 emergency contact systems.

View original imageAdditionally, 32 onshore training sessions and 13 field adaptation trainings were conducted, and through fire facility inspections, education, training, and fire prevention campaigns involving related personnel, it is evaluated that the plan contributed to enhancing autonomous safety management capabilities and safety awareness.
