About 100 instructors in charge of school cultural arts education in Busan declared their support for preliminary candidate Kim Seok-jun ahead of the Busan Superintendent of Education by-election.
On the 17th, representatives including instructor Kim Jeong-gi expressed their support at Kim Seok-jun's campaign office, stating, "The candidate with the experience and ability to normalize school arts education is preliminary candidate Kim Seok-jun."
The participants pointed out, "Students' arts education classes are disappearing due to unilateral budget cuts," and collectively urged, "We ask preliminary candidate Kim Seok-jun to take charge of normalizing Busan's school cultural arts education to foster emotional stability and creative thinking."
Busan school cultural arts education instructors cited Kim Seok-jun's eight-year tenure as Busan Superintendent of Education, during which he recognized the importance of school cultural arts education and promoted related policies, as their reason for support. They described him as a proven leader who led improvements in instructors' treatment and diversification of arts education.
