Gyeonggi Fire Department to Select 15 Private Expert Instructors in Disaster and Safety Fields
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is recruiting private expert instructors in the field of disaster and safety management.
On the 16th, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that it will recruit 15 private expert instructors with extensive experience and knowledge in disaster and safety management by the 20th to promote safety awareness and create a safer Gyeonggi-do.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters will announce the final successful candidates on March 7th after document screening and lecture evaluations. The final successful candidates will complete a new instructor training course at the Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy and then provide education on first aid, fire safety, daily safety, and disaster safety.

Jo Sun-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The need for private expert instructors in disaster safety education with field experience and expertise emerged following the Sewol ferry disaster in 2014," and added, "We hope many people interested in making Gyeonggi-do safer will apply."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do currently operates 129 private expert instructors in disaster safety education to systematically educate disaster-vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly, multicultural families, as well as life safety leaders including teachers, women’s associations, and community leaders on fire safety, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and natural disaster response methods.
