Gurye Republic of Korea Pressed Flower Exhibition Draws International Attention with 217 Entries from 8 Countries
86 Works from Japan Submitted,
an Increase of 54 Compared to Last Year
The 24th Korea Pressed Flower Art Exhibition, hosted by Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do and organized by the Korea Pressed Flower Art Exhibition Committee, is being held successfully.
In this year's international section for pressed flower art, a total of 217 works from eight countries, including China, Japan, and Russia, were submitted, reflecting the high level of interest from pressed flower artists worldwide.

View original imageIn particular, the number of works submitted from Japan increased by 54 compared to last year, reaching a total of 86. In addition, unique works from countries such as China (88 works) and Ukraine (9 works) were submitted, demonstrating that the Korea Pressed Flower Art Exhibition has established itself as a global platform for the exchange of pressed flower art.
The county conducted the first round of judging on March 11 for overseas works received via email, and 48 of these passed the screening. The physical works that passed the first round will be collected by March 14, and the second round of judging is scheduled for March 18.
The county will select the final award-winning works and exhibit them at the Korea Pressed Flower Museum for one year.
County Governor Kim Soonho said, "Interest in pressed flower art is growing around the world," and added, "We hope that this competition will once again confirm the infinite possibilities and charm of pressed flower art."
Meanwhile, the domestic section of the pressed flower art exhibition and the preserved flower submissions will be accepted for ten days starting from March 1.
