A broker accused of taking money in exchange for lobbying politicians and government officials related to the Saemangeum floating solar power project was sentenced to imprisonment again in the second trial.
The 2nd Criminal Division of the Seoul Northern District Court (Chief Judge Kang Young-hoon) upheld the original sentence of 1 year and 6 months imprisonment on the 14th for broker Seo, who was detained and prosecuted on charges of receiving bribes under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.
Seo is accused of receiving about 100 million won from industry insiders in 2020 as a bribe for making requests related to the Saemangeum floating solar power project to public officials in Gunsan, Jeonbuk, and other political and government figures.
