Muan County to Promote Delivery Fee Support Project for Social Economy Enterprises
Up to 1 Million KRW Support per Company
Reducing Logistics Burden
Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 13th that it will continue to implement the "Social Economy Enterprise Courier Fee Support Project" this year, following last year, to alleviate logistics burdens and contribute to increased profits for local social economy enterprises by supporting courier fees.
A "social economy enterprise" refers to a company (or organization) that prioritizes the happiness and social value of all community members by providing jobs or social services to vulnerable groups, thereby addressing social issues such as the wealth gap and improving the quality of life for local residents. It exists as an intermediate form between non-profit organizations and for-profit companies.
The Social Economy Enterprise Courier Fee Support Project provides courier fee support based on relevant ordinances, with a maximum annual support of 1 million KRW per company. In particular, unlike last year, this year 10 companies will be selected to receive support, with a maximum benefit of 5,000 KRW per courier delivery.
The county will invest a total project budget of 10 million KRW and accept applications until the 26th from 53 local social economy enterprises, including (preliminary) social enterprises (24), village enterprises (11), and social cooperatives (18).
Enterprises wishing to participate in the project should refer to the notices and announcements section on the county office website and submit the application form and related documents to the Future Growth and Employment Team.
Lee Hyehyang, Head of the Future Growth Division, said, "We expect that expanding both the number of eligible companies and the amount of support per case compared to last year will help reduce the management burden of local social economy enterprises," adding, "We will continue to do our best to serve as a solid stepping stone for the value creation pursued by social economy enterprises."
