The Social and Urban Committee of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council (Chairperson: Ahn Hyeongju) visited the Seo-gu Youth Center Plus and Mareuk Neighborhood Park on the 12th.
According to the Seo-gu Council on the 13th, this site visit was conducted to check the progress of major projects and listen to difficulties as part of the first 328th temporary session of the new year.

View original imageThe committee members first visited the Seo-gu Youth Center Plus, received a report on the status of project implementation and an overview of the facilities, toured the facility, and discussed ways to improve accessibility and encourage participation in the center's programs.
They also visited the site for the Mareuk Neighborhood Park development project, which is being promoted as a private special project in Kumho-dong, and asked the executive branch and on-site officials to ensure that the opinions of nearby residents are reflected in advance regarding the park's development.
Chairperson Ahn Hyeongju said, "The purpose of this visit is to listen to various opinions on-site and to seek constructive alternatives together with the council," and added, "We will strive to serve as an effective bridge between local residents and project departments through field-oriented legislative activities."
