Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is conducting a forest tourism revitalization project in collaboration with Korail Tourism Development to promote the excellence of Uljin's forests nationwide.
The forest tourism revitalization project attracts tourists by utilizing Korail theme trains. Visitors can experience travel packages that include forest healing programs, meditation, DIY classes, and low-sodium healthy meal experiences at Baegam Forest Healing Center, Geumgangsong Eco-Rium, and Gusugok Natural Recreation Forest.
In addition, the project encourages visits to unique Uljin tourist spots such as Wangpicheon Cable Car, Jukbyeon Coastal Sky Rail, Hupo Deunggisan Skywalk, Bulyoungsa Temple, Baegam Hot Springs, and Deokgu Hot Springs. It also recruits travelers with accommodation packages for local festivals unique to Uljin-gun, such as the Uljin Snow Crab Festival and Pyeonghae Dano Festival, aiming to achieve high satisfaction among tourists.
Reservations and detailed information can be found by searching for ‘Uljin’ on the Korail Tourism Development travel mall website. Especially from this year, with the opening of Uljin Station, courses departing not only from the Seoul metropolitan area but also from the Gyeongsang region are operated, allowing many tourists to enjoy Uljin.
