They regularly check on the status of households at risk of solitary death through phone calls and visits, and also play a role in connecting those in need of help to the local community service center.
Last year, in Gangbuk-gu, 56 care team members conducted 124,049 welfare checks on 3,151 households at risk of solitary death and linked 218 services such as material support through their activities. In addition, all neighborhoods carried out the ‘Socially Isolated Household Network Formation Project Using Our Neighborhood Care Team,’ offering various activities such as cooking programs, gardening activities, and exercise classes.
This year, 57 care team members will regularly check on households at risk of solitary death at least once a week. They also plan to check on other vulnerable groups and assist in connecting them to necessary services.
