Namyangju City Promotes Hometown Love Donation Program at First Gift Selection Committee Meeting
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 13th that it held the ‘2025 1st Return Gift Selection Committee Meeting’ on the 12th, where new members of the 2nd term were appointed and the chairman and vice-chairman were elected.

View original imageThe committee consists of a total of seven members, including six private experts from various fields and one city official, and plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of projects such as reviewing hometown love donation return gifts and selecting suppliers for two years.
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok stated, “The selection of return gifts is not only vital for the activation of the Hometown Love Donation System but also an important process to widely promote Namyangju’s local specialties. I hope you will fully utilize your wisdom and capabilities to ensure that the return gifts provided to donors are well selected.”
Lee Yeon-mook, chairman of the Return Gift Selection Committee elected at this meeting, said, “I will do my best as chairman to ensure that the return gifts are not just simple presents but an important factor in the development of Namyangju City by presenting various opinions and cooperating with other committee members.”
The ‘Hometown Love Donation System’ allows individuals to donate up to 20 million KRW annually to local governments other than their registered address, receiving a certain percentage of tax deductions and return gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount.
