CJ Pledges Continued Backing for Winter Olympics
CJ Group is embarking on a journey toward the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics following the 2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games, together with the South Korean national speed skating team.
With CJ's sponsorship, the speed skating team won 12 medals (3 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze) in Harbin. Kim Min-seon and Lee Na-hyun led the golden era of South Korean women's speed skating by winning the women's 500m and 100m events, respectively. In particular, Kim Min-seon, who receives individual sponsorship from CJ, earned a gold medal in the team sprint and a silver medal in the women's 100m, totaling 2 golds and 1 silver, signaling a promising outlook for Olympic medal achievements.
Based on the achievements of South Korean speed skaters in Harbin, CJ has pledged continuous support to help them achieve excellent results at the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics.
A CJ representative said, "We are grateful for the outstanding performance shown by the national speed skating team, including Kim Min-seon, at this Asian Games," adding, "CJ will spare no effort to provide full support so that the athletes can achieve their best results at the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics."
Grounded in the 'Dream Keeper Philosophy,' CJ actively supports the challenges of promising athletes to achieve the goal of becoming the global number one. Having left a significant mark in winter sports, CJ was a sponsor behind the success of Yoon Sung-bin and Lee Sang-ho, who won gold and silver medals at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Now, through sponsorship of Kim Min-seon and the national speed skating team, CJ is once again challenging Olympic medal achievements and leading the advancement of South Korean winter sports.
