Ulsan City Strengthens On-Site Support Activities for Invested Small and Medium Enterprises
Designation of Regional On-Site Support Officers and Prompt Permit Assistance
Revitalizing the Local Economy Through Differentiated Support from Other Regions
Ulsan City will provide systematic support to small and medium investment companies through regional on-site corporate investment support activities.
Ulsan City has achieved results such as shortening permits and reducing project costs through on-site support including investment consulting and resolving difficulties for large-scale corporate investment sites in the region.
In particular, based on these methods and experiences, Ulsan City will expand the operation of regional on-site support officers for small and medium enterprises that have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the city.
To this end, an investment status survey was conducted for companies that signed an MOU with Ulsan City, and for the 20 companies that are progressing normally according to the survey results, regional officers will be appointed to manage the sites until project completion.
The regional officers are organized into five regions: the southern region including Onsan National Industrial Complex and Energy Convergence Industrial Complex; the central region including Ulsan Mipo National Industrial Complex (Nam-gu) and Ulsan Techno Industrial Complex; the western region including High-Tech Valley and Gilcheon·Bancheon Industrial Complexes; the northern region including Ulsan Mipo National Industrial Complex (Buk-gu) and Ihwa·Maegok Industrial Complexes; and the eastern region including Ulsan Mipo National Industrial Complex (Dong-gu).
Their role is to check initial investment risks for each project through pre-consulting of investment projects located in each region.
They also act as facilitators for smooth promotion of investment projects by seeking solutions through consultations with related departments on corporate investment difficulties, proposing government regulatory improvements, and providing prompt permit support.
Ulsan City plans to do its best in operating the regional on-site support officers by receiving corporate difficulties, appointing regional officers, coordinating and guiding related departments, supporting various permits, and continuously monitoring until the completion of investment projects.
