He also claimed, "The world has taken advantage of the United States for a long time," adding, "They have imposed massive tariffs on us, but we have not imposed tariffs on them."
Regarding the upcoming reciprocal tariff measure, he explained, "We will impose as much as they impose on us. It's a very simple principle."
The White House announced on the 12th that President Trump would unveil the reciprocal tariff policy before his summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is scheduled for the 13th (local time).
