Minister Yoon Inchon Visits National Arts Company Youth Training Program Evaluation Site
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoon Inchon will visit the National Arts Company rehearsal studio (N Studio) on the afternoon of February 13, where the integrated evaluation for the National Arts Company Youth Training Program will take place, to encourage young artists.
The 'Youth Training Program' aims to nurture young artists-who often have limited opportunities to gain practical experience-into the next generation of K-Culture leaders by providing them with opportunities to participate in performances by the nation’s top national arts companies, as well as offering a variety of specialized practical training sessions.
According to last year's program satisfaction survey, both participants and audience members expressed high levels of satisfaction. Graduates of the program rated the need for its continued operation at 85.7 points, while audience members gave a high score of 94.1 points for their willingness to attend performances again.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted an integrated recruitment process for a total of 545 youth trainees-excluding separately selected members (45 for the National Opera Company and 10 for the National Theater)-from February 6 to 24. As a result, a total of 2,684 applicants applied, resulting in a high competition ratio of 4.92:1. The integrated evaluation, which began on February 10, will be held in Seoul, Busan, and Namwon until February 28. The final results are scheduled to be announced on March 4 on the website of the National Arts Company Association.

Minister Yoon Inchon stated, "Thinking about these young artists who are pursuing their dreams reminds me of myself when I was aspiring to become an actor. Even in difficult times, I hope they will present the best possible art to the public with their unique overflowing energy. The Ministry will also spare no policy support to ensure that young artists can showcase their talents on even larger stages."
