KHNP Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head: Lee Seyong) announced that “Hanul Unit 3, a Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plant (OPR1000) with a pressurized water reactor and a capacity of 1 million kW, has achieved 5,000 days of trouble-free operation from July 25, 2008, to February 4, 2025, marking the first time for a domestic nuclear power plant.”
Trouble-free operation refers to operating the power plant continuously without shutdown from the time of system connection after planned preventive maintenance until system disconnection for the next planned preventive maintenance. This is an indicator representing safety, technology, and operational management.
