'50th Anniversary of Gaechung' Gangnam-gu Appoints Lee Jayeon, Park Sangmin, and Others as Public Ambassadors
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) appointed popular culture artists Lee Ja-yeon and Park Sang-min, as well as Park Seung-hwa and Kang Hye-yeon of Yuri Sangja, as Gangnam-gu ambassadors on the 12th to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the district office's opening.

View original imageThe newly appointed ambassadors are artists who have been actively working in their respective fields and loved by the public. They will participate in official Gangnam-gu events, promotional videos, and social media (SNS) content production to promote the diverse charms of Gangnam.
Lee Ja-yeon, a trot singer and chairman of the Gangnam Cultural Foundation, has long been a beloved national singer and a resident of Gangnam-gu, contributing to the development of local culture. Through this ambassador appointment, she is expected to play a greater role in widely promoting Gangnam's culture and arts.
Park Sang-min is a singer who has gained national love with his powerful vocals and hit songs such as "Hana-ui Sarang" and "Mugiyo Jal Itgeora." He is also well known for his consistent donation activities and good deeds, and through this appointment, he plans to actively promote Gangnam's values of "sharing and donation culture."
Park Seung-hwa of Yuri Sangja has been loved for his sweet voice and hit song "Saranghaedo Doelkkayo," and has exerted positive social influence. Notably, he has served as a promotional ambassador for the prevention of child sexual abuse and received a commendation from the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, so he is expected to contribute to conveying the image of a "safe and livable Gangnam."
Kang Hye-yeon, who gained attention for her outstanding vocal skills and charming stage manners on "Miss Trot 2," formed a connection with Gangnam-gu through her performance at the Bongeunsa Temple San-sa Music Concert last year. As a new-generation trot singer, she plans to communicate with various generations and widely promote "vibrant city Gangnam."
