Review of Ordinance Bills and Site Visits to Major Project Locations
The Gwangju Seo-gu Council (Chairperson Jeon Seungil) announced on the 12th that it convened the 328th extraordinary session on the 11th, marking the start of its first session of the year.
This extraordinary session will run for ten days until the 20th, during which the council plans to hear the New Year's business report, review twelve ordinance bills, and conduct site visits to major project locations.
In his opening remarks, Chairperson Jeon Seungil urged for the swift completion of delayed new construction projects, including various urban regeneration projects, the welfare center for people with disabilities, the Nongseong 2-dong public complex building, and the relocation of the Yangdong Administrative Welfare Center. He also requested the executive branch to strengthen relief activities for vulnerable groups during the winter season and to enhance safety inspections to prevent fires at disaster-prone facilities.
The Seo-gu Council also expressed its commitment to cooperate with the executive branch so that support policies for the economic recovery of small business owners and self-employed merchants can be carefully examined and smoothly implemented, ensuring policies that everyone can relate to.
Chairperson Jeon stated, "We will do our utmost to deliberate and pursue all issues raised during this extraordinary session so they can provide tangible benefits to residents' lives," and added, "I ask for your continued interest and participation in the legislative activities of the Seo-gu Council."
