The disciplinary request was signed by eight members, including Kim Euna of the People Power Party.
The reason was that Kim, the floor leader of the Democratic Party, read a statement criticizing members of the People Power Party during a procedural speech after the resignation proposal for Chairman Hong Seongpyo was rejected at the 254th extraordinary meeting held on the 23rd of last month.
At the time, Kim said, "It is presumed that all People Power Party members cast votes against the resignation proposal," and strongly criticized it as "despicable trickery politics."
Meanwhile, the People Power Party has filed a defamation complaint against Kim.
