Development of a Broadband High-Isolation Switch for Mobile Communication
at the Ministry of Education and Chamber of Commerce We-Meet Awards
Students from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Chonnam National University College of Engineering received the Minister of Education Award in the next-generation communication category at the 'We-Meet Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. View original imageChonnam National University announced on the 12th that students from the Department of Electronic Engineering, College of Engineering, received the Minister of Education Award in the Next-Generation Communication category at the 'We-Meet Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The We-Meet Project is a program in which the Ministry of Education, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, universities, and companies collaborate to provide students with practical experience.
Participating students carry out problem-solving assignments proposed by companies and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills through mentoring from industry experts. In this project, a total of 871 teams (4,051 participants) competed fiercely across 18 advanced fields, including next-generation communication, secondary batteries, and intelligent robots.
Among them, undergraduate and graduate students Honghyun Jeon, Eunji Jeong, and Kyuhyun Song of Chonnam National University (supervising professor Jinseok Park) were selected for the Minister of Education Award as an outstanding project for developing a 'broadband high-isolation switch for 6G mobile communication' in a project proposed by RFcore (CEO Gyeik Jeon), a company specializing in RF system and component development.
Professor Jinseok Park (Department of Electronic Engineering, Chonnam National University), who supervised this project, said, "I am very proud that the students' passionate research has produced excellent results," and added, "We were able to develop a high-performance RF circuit thanks to close cooperation with an outstanding RF company through the We-Meet Project."
Hosung Park, head of the Next-Generation Communication Innovative Convergence University Project, said, "I am delighted that Chonnam National University students received the Minister of Education Award at the We-Meet Awards," and added, "Through this project, Chonnam National University students and next-generation communication companies have created various achievements together."
