Gwangju Buk-gu Supports Independence of Self-Reliant Youth
On the 12th, Buk-gu District of Gwangju announced that it will launch a one-on-one mentoring program to support the stable independence of self-reliant young adults.
According to the district, the 'Self-Reliant Youth Mentor-Mentee Meeting' will be held at 2 p.m. on this day, marking the start of the Maemtoktok Supporters activities.
The Maemtoktok Supporters program provides one-on-one mentoring by matching each self-reliant youth with a professional mentor, offering emotional support and advice. Through this, the program aims to help resolve emotional isolation or anxiety and support these youths in establishing deeper roots within the local community.
District Mayor Moon In said, "I hope that through the operation of this supporters program, young people will be positively influenced by their mentors and gain the nourishment needed for entering society," adding, "We will continue to discover and provide support measures necessary for stable independence, serving as a strong pillar for them."
