Yeongju-si to Host Youth Art Festival 'We Are Artist' on the 15th
A Variety of Performances, Art, and Exhibitions Presented by Youth
The youth art festival ‘We Are Artist,’ showcasing the passion and creativity of young people in Yeongju, Gyeongbuk, will be held on the 15th.
The festival is organized by 'W.A.A,' with performances taking place at 4 PM in Kkachihall. The art exhibition will be held at 2:30 PM in the Cheoljjuk Gallery.
The Yeongju Youth Art Festival was planned to allow young people to express themselves through performances and art exhibitions, develop their artistic abilities, and promote communication and harmony among local youth.
The event will feature 10 teams from middle and high schools in Yeongju, presenting various dance performances, along with an exhibition of 30 artworks created by the youth themselves. Additionally, special invited performances by Rockers (Park Ji-young Dance Locking Performance Team) and traditional Korean music major Ha Yeon will offer a diverse stage for both the youth and the audience.
Notably, this year’s festival is themed ‘Time leap,’ reflecting the characteristics of each era from the 1990s to the 2020s. Creative performances capturing the personality and atmosphere of each period will be showcased, and a ‘special performance’ prepared exclusively for this day is expected to deeply move the audience. Furthermore, various events will provide participants with generous prizes.
Kim Jin-tae, CEO of W.A.A, said, “The Yeongju Youth Art Festival is a special stage for participating teams and may be the last performance together for some before entering higher education or society. W.A.A puts great effort into every performance to ensure it is remembered as an unforgettable and outstanding stage for the participants.”
Mayor Park Nam-seo stated, “This event is a precious stage where young people express themselves through art and share their passion and creativity with each other. We will continue to actively support Yeongju’s youth so they can fully demonstrate their efforts and passion and grow.”
