...Spreading the reading culture in the local community
Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 11th that it will recruit reading clubs to participate in the 'Gijang-gun Reading Club Support Project' starting from the 14th.
This project was promoted to create an environment where residents can enjoy a culture of reading in their daily lives and to spread the reading culture in the local community. Four reading clubs will be selected to support voluntary club activities.
The main support includes ▲providing activity books for each club (up to 25 books) ▲offering reading discussion spaces such as lecture rooms within the library ▲expanding the loan limit for all members (10 books), among others.
Applicants must be reading clubs composed of five or more members who are either currently active or planning to form, holding regular meetings at least once a month with at least 70% member participation each time.
Clubs wishing to participate can apply through the Jeonggwan Library website from February 14 to March 10. For detailed information such as application forms and eligibility, please refer to the Jeonggwan Library website or contact the Gijang-gun Library Department.
