Gyeongbok University Receives 'Best Education Center Award' for CPR Training
Gyeongbok University received the '2024 Best BLS Training Site Award' at last month's regular general meeting of the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (KACPR).
Since November 2022, Gyeongbok University has been designated by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation as a Basic Life Support Training Site (BLS TS) following the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and has been conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
Every year, it provides systematic CPR education to about 1,000 students, medical personnel, and the general public, contributing to the dissemination of CPR in the local community. In particular, through practical training programs and a professional teaching staff, it educates participants to respond immediately in real emergency situations.
Kim Hye-jin, Director of the Gyeongbok University BLS TS Center and professor in the Department of Nursing, said, "This award is thanks to the active participation of students and medical personnel and the support of the university," adding, "We will continue to develop CPR education further to contribute to saving lives."
