Full Moon Model Installation
and Observation Program to Be Held
The Cultural Heritage Administration's Palace and Royal Tombs Headquarters, together with the National Children's Science Museum, will hold the event "Jeongwol Daeboreum, the Full Moon Descended on Changgyeonggung" at Changgyeonggung from the 11th to the 16th. A full moon model will be installed around the Punggi Pavilion in Changgyeonggung, and on Jeongwol Daeboreum, the 12th, a program to observe the full moon will be held in front of the Grand Greenhouse.
Designated as a Treasure in 1985, the Punggi Pavilion is a flag stand built to measure the direction and strength of the wind. It is an artifact that offers a glimpse into the meteorological observation history of the Joseon Dynasty and is located on the hill behind Jipbokheon. The full moon model is scheduled to shine from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. However, the event may be canceled if it rains or snows, or if the weather is cloudy on the day of Daeboreum.
