He emphasized, "Without focusing business capabilities on mobile-centered new business models, survival is impossible," urging the company to secure a clear number one position in the domestic MLC market. He further requested, "Based on domestic achievements, please work passionately to grow globally and become a company that leads lifestyle trends in broader markets."
After reviewing business performance and plans with the management team, Chairman Lee visited the MLC broadcasting studio to meet key talents and employees. The visit was attended by key executives of CJ OnStyle, including Yoon Sang-hyun, CEO of CJ ENM, Lee Sun-young, CEO of CJ ENM Commerce Division, and some holding company executives such as Kim Hong-gi, CEO of CJ Corporation.
Among over 60 affiliates, Chairman Lee chose CJ OnStyle as the first target for on-site management this year to encourage CJ OnStyle’s achievements in laying the foundation for future growth by strengthening the mobile shopping experience in response to a shrinking market environment and to review new growth engines. CJ OnStyle is recognized for effectively executing the 'one-platform' strategy that organically connects mobile, TV, and e-commerce by leveraging its long-accumulated know-how. As a result, CJ OnStyle’s MLC transaction volume increased by 96% year-on-year last year, and the number of newly registered mobile brands rose by about 400.
