UBTech, a Robot Manufacturer, Also Pursues DeepSeek Integration
DeepSeek, a Chinese generative artificial intelligence (AI) that has faced access restrictions and bans overseas including in South Korea, is expanding its service areas beyond PCs to robots and electric vehicles.
According to the Hong Kong South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 8th, Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo recently announced via Weibo (China's version of X) that it has integrated its Xiaotian AI assistant with the DeepSeek AI model. This integration aims to enhance functions such as sentence comprehension, code generation, mathematics, and reasoning.
Lenovo plans to expand the Xiaotian service, which was launched in early last year, to other products such as tablets and smartphones.
Additionally, UBTech, China's largest humanoid robot manufacturer, is pursuing the use of the DeepSeek AI model in its robots. Tests are underway to help robots understand instructions in complex real-world environments and perform tasks in factories.
Chinese automaker Geely is incorporating DeepSeek's RI reasoning model into its self-developed Xinrui AI model to better understand and predict drivers' needs.
