View original imageAccording to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 7th, the morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -17 and -5 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between -4 and 4 degrees Celsius. A cold wave warning has been issued for the central region, eastern Jeonbuk, and inland Gyeongsang. For the time being, morning temperatures will be below -10 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country (below -15 degrees in inland central regions, eastern Jeonbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk), and daytime temperatures will remain below 0 degrees Celsius in most areas nationwide (below -5 degrees in central regions and some southern inland areas). Strong winds will also blow, making the perceived temperature even lower and the cold more severe.
There will be occasional clouds nationwide. The Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy, with snow and rain continuing in these areas since the previous day. In some places, precipitation will continue until the 9th.
The expected snowfall over three days from the 7th is 10 to 20 cm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, 5 to 15 cm in the mid-mountain areas of Jeju, 15 cm or more in many places along the western coast of Jeonbuk and southern inland areas, Gwangju, and western Jeonnam (including northern Jeonnam), 5 to 10 cm in Ulleungdo and Dokdo (with some places exceeding 15 cm), 3 to 8 cm along the southern western coast of Chungnam and the coastal areas of Jeju, and 1 to 5 cm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam (excluding the southern western coast), and central-southern Chungbuk.
During the same period, the expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 20 mm in Jeju Island, 5 to 10 mm along the western coast of Jeonbuk and southern inland areas, Gwangju, western Jeonnam, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo, around 5 mm along the southern western coast of Chungnam, and less than 5 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam (excluding the southern western coast), and central-southern Chungbuk.

The sea waves will be 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 1.0 to 5.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. The wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 1.5 to 5.5 meters in the East and South Seas, and 1.0 to 5.5 meters in the West Sea.
