Pop-up Store for "Admission Mercenary" Opens at Line Friends Square Shibuya
Special Visual Goods and Signing Event Attract Local Fans
IPX (formerly Line Friends) announced on the 7th that it has opened a pop-up store for the webtoon "Admission Mercenary" called "The Perfect Soldier" at Line Friends Square Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan, in collaboration with Naver Webtoon's Japanese service Line Manga.
"Admission Mercenary," serialized on Naver Webtoon, is an action webtoon about a former top mercenary who grows through the love of family and friends. Since 2023, Admission Mercenary has ranked first in the annual Line Manga rankings for two consecutive years on Line Manga, operated by Naver Webtoon in Japan.

View original imageThe pop-up space features a large media zone of about 40 pyeong (approximately 132 square meters) on the basement first floor. In the media zone, visitors can enjoy an immersive media experience with three-dimensional videos and sounds covering the walls and floor, allowing them to enjoy the action drama. The pop-up also screens a special video featuring the famous Japanese voice actor Saito Soma passionately voicing the main character.
Additionally, special visual goods not seen in the webtoon attracted local fans' attention. Key holders, stands, and tapestries featuring newly drawn illustrations of the main characters by artist Rakhyun for this pop-up were unveiled. At the pop-up store, Admission Mercenary's writer YC and illustrator Rakhyun held a signing event, meeting fans in person.

This pop-up will operate until the 25th of this month. Meanwhile, IPX's strategy is to expand touchpoints with local fans by implementing webtoon IP through experiences encompassing pop-ups, products, and licensing businesses both online and offline.
