Gyeongnam Newspaper Cup Opens the First Graded Race of the Year of the Eulsa on the 23rd
Korea Racing Authority Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam (Head Eom Young-seok) announced the horse racing schedule for February 2025, featuring a total of 45 races held over 6 days across 3 weeks.
According to the plan, among the 45 races held at Busan-Gyeongnam, 32 races are for domestic horses, 12 races are mixed domestic and foreign horses, and 1 race is a graded race. Every Friday, 9 races are held at Busan-Gyeongnam and 7 races at Jeju, while Saturdays feature 11 races in Seoul and 6 races in Jeju broadcasted live. Sundays include 6 races at Busan-Gyeongnam and 11 races broadcasted from Seoul.
The first race on Fridays at Jeju starts at 11:00 AM, and the first races on Saturdays and Sundays at Seoul start at 10:35 AM. The last race on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays all start at 6:00 PM.
Notably, on the 23rd, the Gyeongnam Newspaper Cup (1400m, domestic 3-year-old colts and fillies) will be held as the 6th race at Busan-Gyeongnam, opening the graded races of the Year of the Eulsa. On the same day, the Sports Seoul Cup will be held as the 8th race at Let's Run Park Seoul. At Let's Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam, visitors can watch the Busan-Gyeongnam races live on-site as well as enjoy real-time viewing of the Seoul and Jeju races.

The 4K ultra-high-definition multivision screen installed on the racetrack measures 41.2 meters wide and 6 meters high, which is 285 times the size of a 55-inch TV, delivering the excitement and atmosphere of the races vividly. Additionally, the latest filming techniques such as drones and jockey cams are introduced to provide multi-angle race footage, along with various content including post-race interviews and behind-the-scenes stories for an enjoyable experience.
