Professor Baek Won-gi of the Department of Microbiology at Keimyung University School of Medicine was appointed as the 25th Dean of Keimyung University School of Medicine, the university announced on the 5th.
The newly appointed Dean Baek Won-gi graduated from Keimyung University School of Medicine in 1990, earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from Keimyung University, and completed training at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard University in the United States. He has served as Director of Research at Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center, Director of the Keimyung University Cancer Research Institute, Associate Dean of Keimyung University School of Medicine, Chair Professor of the Department of Medical Humanities at Keimyung University School of Medicine, Specialist Reviewer for the National Research Foundation of Korea, Specialist Reviewer for the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and Director of the Korean Society of Medical Education.
