Meeting with Youth Representatives in New Industries Held
Choi Sang-mok, Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister as well as Minister of Economy and Finance, promised comprehensive support by meeting with youth representatives in the fields of new technologies and new industries on the 5th.
On this day, Acting President Choi held a luncheon meeting with youth representatives of ventures and startups in the new technology and new industry sectors, along with related ministers including Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT, Cho Kyu-hong, Minister of Health and Welfare, Park Sang-woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, Kim Byung-hwan, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, and Bang Ki-seon, Director of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, at the Government Complex Seoul.

View original imageAt the meeting, youth representatives introduced customized products and services targeting niche markets with differentiated new technologies in new industry fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), bio, quantum, space, autonomous vehicles, and drones.
Acting President Choi said at the event, "Youth are the game changers of Korea's new industries," and added, "The government will spare no effort in providing comprehensive support." He further stated, "The three major game changers and other new technologies and new industries will fuse with our main industries to become key drivers that enhance future economic growth rates and productivity."
