Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) is recruiting participants for the ‘2025 Student Horse Riding Experience Support Project’ until the 14th to provide horse riding experience opportunities to teenagers and foster future horse riding populations.

This project targets 240 local youths under the age of 18 and supports 70% (224,000 KRW) of the experience fee. Participating students can enjoy 10 horse riding sessions by paying 30% (96,000 KRW) of the fee themselves.

Additionally, four students from low-income families, basic livelihood security recipients, students with disabilities, and multicultural family students will be selected to receive full support for the experience fee (320,000 KRW).

Applications are accepted until the 14th of this month, and applicants can apply by accessing the ‘Student Horse Riding Experience Support Project’ on the Korea Racing Authority Hospia website. Selection of participants and allocation of horse riding centers will be conducted by lottery, and individual notifications will be made within one week after the application deadline.

Woo In-cheol, Director of the Livestock Division, said, “A total of 525 students have experienced horse riding through this program over the past three years (2022?2024). We hope many students participate this year as well and gain diverse experiences through horse riding.”
