Nongshim announced on the 5th that it will operate the skating rink 'Shin Ramyun Smiling Link Sapporo' (hereinafter Shin Ramyun Ice Rink) in collaboration with Sapporo City, Japan.
The Shin Ramyun Ice Rink was established in Odori Park, Sapporo, Japan, and is scheduled to operate until the 11th during the Sapporo Snow Festival, Japan's largest winter festival.
Under the slogan "The spicy taste of winter is even more enjoyable," Nongshim installed sculptures at the ice rink and set up a "Shin Ramyun tasting booth." More than 3,000 people visited the tasting booth daily, receiving a positive response.

A Nongshim official said, "Since the Sapporo Snow Festival is a world-renowned winter festival attracting more than 1.7 million international tourists each time, it will play a role in strengthening the status of Shin Ramyun," adding, "Through the unique experience of enjoying skating on the streets of winter Sapporo, we are promoting the charm of Nongshim Shin Ramyun to locals and tourists."
Previously, Nongshim operated a Shin Ramyun pop-up store in Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan, in October last year, attracting about 13,000 visitors over 10 days. The reason Nongshim is focusing on the Japanese market, the "home of instant ramen," is because Shin Ramyun's popularity is extraordinary. Shin Ramyun is playing a pioneering role in introducing Korea's spicy flavors as K-food. In fact, Nongshim Japan's sales have shown an average annual growth rate of 16% over the past five years. Especially, last year's Shin Ramyun sales increased by 22.7% compared to the previous year.
