'Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet' Opens a New Chapter in Activating Local Sharing
First Case of Resident-to-Resident Sharing Through Online Platform
Both Participating Resident and Welfare Center Express High Satisfaction
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has seen a case of sharing among residents through its customized welfare brand, ‘Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet’.
A resident living in Mangwoo-bon-dong discovered a side dish sharing project for low-income families posted on the ‘I Want to Help’ board on the Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet website and applied to participate. The application was forwarded to Yurine Wongwang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center through the local community service center, and the donation funds were used on the 24th to provide side dishes to elderly people living alone and six single-parent families.
This is the first case of residents helping residents through the Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet online platform, which officially launched on the 1st of last month, marking an important beginning for revitalizing the culture of sharing within the community.
The participating resident shared their thoughts on the experience, saying, “I was surprised to learn that there are various fields where I can help through Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet, and the participation process was easy and convenient.” They also highly praised the platform’s transparency and convenience, stating, “It was even more rewarding to be able to check how and to whom my donation was delivered through my participation information.”
‘Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet’ is a customized welfare brand of Jungnang-gu designed to create a welfare community where 400,000 residents voluntarily participate to help and share with each other under the goal of ‘400,000 residents helping 400,000 residents.’
The online platform, which opened on January 1, offers a system where users can select desired projects from five major areas?donation, network formation, talent sharing, health, and education?and each manager connects providers and recipients to support them. Additionally, public and private welfare information can be viewed at a glance, and it is linked with the Volunteer Center and Jungnang-gu Social Welfare Council, making it easier to access donation and volunteer activities.
