Yeouido Sister Neighborhood Park Offers a Different Charm at Night
Yeouido Sister Neighborhood Park, established to commemorate the sister city relationship between Seoul and Ankara, Turkey, is home to the 'Ankara House,' a traditional Turkish vineyard house.
The district rearranged the existing lighting, which previously emphasized only the building, to blend naturally with the surrounding garden. In particular, various trees such as tulips, red plum blossoms, and azaleas were newly planted by modernly interpreting traditional Korean garden styles to harmonize with the Turkish-style architecture. The lighting was installed to suit the characteristics of the trees and buildings, creating a natural spread of light and shadow. Through this space where the cultural landscapes of the two countries coexist, visitors can appreciate the unique charm of Ankara House in a calm and warm nighttime view.
Anyangcheon Observation Deck Creates a Safe Resting Space Even at Night
Lighting that illuminates the floor was installed on the Anyangcheon Observation Deck, which extends from Yangpyeong 1 Pedestrian Overpass to Mokdong Bridge, improving the nighttime walking environment and allowing people to enjoy seasonal changes through various lighting images.
This section became a new resting place for residents through expansion construction, but safety concerns due to insufficient lighting at night were consistently raised. By expanding the lighting installation, a safe and comfortable walking environment was created.
Yeongdeungpo Park, Mullae-dong Creative Village, and Yeouidaebang-ro Shine Even at Night
At Yeongdeungpo Park near Yeongdeungpo Station, sea landscape lighting was installed at the east entrance, and snowflake lights were added along the walking path from Triangle Square to the badminton court, presenting a diverse nighttime landscape.
In the alleys of Mullae-dong Creative Village, where artists and small business owners coexist, lighting was added to green poles made using climbing plants on supports, creating a stylish atmosphere both day and night. Additionally, to resolve water pooling caused by the deterioration of the Yeouidaebang-ro sidewalk, a 'rainwater garden' was created, and sophisticated lighting design was added to ensure a safe and beautiful walking environment even at night.
