Gwangju Buk-gu Council will convene its 300th extraordinary session starting from the 5th, marking the beginning of its first legislative schedule for the year Eulsanyeon.
According to Buk-gu Council on the 4th, this session will handle a total of 10 agenda items, including the New Year's business report, 8 ordinance proposals, and 1 consent proposal.
The main schedule begins with the first plenary session, followed by reports on the major business plans for this year from the departments under each standing committee from the 6th to the 11th. On the 12th, there will be reviews of general agenda items such as ordinances and consent proposals, as well as on-site activities at major project locations.
On the final day, the 14th, the second plenary session will be held to make final decisions on the agenda items reviewed by each standing committee, concluding the extraordinary session.
Chairman Choi Moosong stated, "This year's top priority, 'restoring livelihoods,' does not simply start with policy implementation but with communication with residents," and added, "Buk-gu Council will do its best this year as well to ensure that the voices of our residents are reflected in policy."
Meanwhile, starting with this 300th extraordinary session, Buk-gu Council plans to hold a total of seven regular and extraordinary sessions this year and to actively carry out legislative activities for the benefit of its residents.
