Gwangju Seo-gu Holds Full Meeting of 'Future Innovation Committee' to Discuss Development Plans
Appointment of Eight New Committee Members
On the 4th, Seo-gu District in Gwangju held a full meeting of the 'Future Innovation Committee (Co-Chairs: Kim Ikang, Yoon Bongran)' at the Sharing Hall of the Seo-gu District Office.
According to Seo-gu District, the meeting was organized to discuss ways to advance resident-centered administration and promote the development of district governance.

View original imageAt the meeting, the committee appointed eight new members and identified and decided on the key tasks for each subcommittee to focus on this year.
The committee also reviewed the progress of policy recommendations made so far and gathered opinions on discovering core initiatives to create a "Good City Seo-gu," where sharing and cooperation become a part of everyday life.
Heo Miok, Director of Planning, said, "The policies proposed through the committee will be reviewed by the relevant departments and reflected as major projects for next year. We will continue to listen to the voices of experts and civil society to strengthen 'Sohwakheng (small but certain happiness) administration' that improves the quality of life for residents."
Meanwhile, the Future Innovation Committee is composed of 28 members, including private sector experts and public officials in various fields such as economy, autonomy, welfare, education, culture, and youth. The committee plays a role in collecting a wide range of opinions from civil society, developing innovation plans for district governance, and identifying areas for improvement.
