The Investment Banking (IB) division expanded profits centered on high-quality assets. The Sales and Trading (S&T) division also improved profitability thanks to falling interest rates.
However, looking only at the fourth quarter of last year, a conservative approach to provisioning resulted in an operating loss of 53.8 billion KRW. The net income for the fourth quarter of last year was 43.3 billion KRW, influenced by the increased value of held assets.
