The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) announced on the 4th that it achieved meaningful results in strengthening Korea-US economic cooperation during its visit to Washington D.C. for the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

He stated, "Attending President Trump's inauguration was a great honor and a meaningful experience," and emphasized, "AMCHAM will work closely with the Trump administration to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, expand strategic partnerships, and do its best to create a dynamic business environment that benefits both nations."
During the visit to the U.S., AMCHAM also met with U.S. congressional policymakers, representatives of major companies, and senior officials from think tanks to exchange views on the direction of Korea-US economic cooperation. Additionally, they met with Cho Hyun-dong, the Korean Ambassador to the U.S., to discuss ways to strengthen trade and investment in key industries such as semiconductors and eco-friendly energy.
