The ‘Reporters’ is a compound word of ‘Reporter’ and ‘Supporter.’ It signifies promoting the region and supporting regional development by utilizing various official SNS platforms of Ulju-gun.
Ulju-gun newly launched the publicity group this year by expanding the activity scope beyond the existing ‘Blog Reporters’ to include various SNS platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
To further enhance the quantity and quality of publicity content, the number of participants increased from 30 last year to 40 this year. A total of 40 members, including 30 for the official Ulju-gun blog and 10 for the official Instagram and Facebook, are active as the 1st generation ‘Reporters.’
Ulju-gun previously recruited Reporters participants from December 18 last year to January 10 this year, receiving a total of 87 applications. After document screening and evaluations of planning skills and writing ability, 40 members were finally selected, including 32 Ulju-gun residents and Ulsan citizens and 8 from outside Ulsan.
The 1st generation Reporters are evenly composed of participants aged 20 to 60 from various professions such as professors, nurses, returning farmers and entrepreneurs, and housewives. YouTubers, travel creators, and photographers are also included, adding expertise.
The appointed members will be active until January 31 next year, directly covering various fields such as Ulju-gun’s policies, history, culture, tourism, and festivals, creating content and presenting it through Ulju-gun’s official SNS.
Ulju-gun plans to support various activities, including providing up to 100,000 KRW per person monthly for content production to strengthen the Reporters’ capabilities.
