The Ministry of Unification announced on the 3rd that it will hold a public contest for the '2025 Support Project for Civil Organizations' Activities for Free Democratic Peaceful Unification.' The total support budget is 500 million KRW.
Eligible applicants are nonprofit corporations and nonprofit civil organizations registered with the Ministry of Unification as of the announcement date. Based on three categories?▲ dissemination of free and unification discourse ▲ projects to raise unification awareness ▲ projects to promote unification culture?projects that can contribute to establishing a foundation for free democratic peaceful unification will be selected and supported with up to 200 million KRW per organization, totaling 500 million KRW.
In particular, this year, additional points will be awarded to the ‘Unification Consensus Project linked to the 80th Anniversary of Liberation’ and ‘Projects related to Raising Unification Awareness among Future Generations’ in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of liberation.
The application period is from today until the 21st. The target projects will be selected through a fair evaluation by the Subsidy Project Selection Committee composed of internal and external experts. The results will be announced next month. A Ministry of Unification official stated, "Through cooperation with civil organizations, we will strive to expand opportunities for the public to participate more familiarly in unification discussions and to spread consensus on unification."
