Highly Pathogenic AI Outbreak at Duck Farm in Buan, Jeonbuk... 31st Case
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (AI) announced on the 1st that H5N1-type highly pathogenic AI occurred at a meat duck farm located in Buan-gun, Jeonbuk. This is the 31st case reported at poultry farms nationwide during the winter season.
The headquarters dispatched an initial response team to the affected farm to control access and are conducting culling and epidemiological investigations.
The headquarters has ordered a temporary movement ban until 11 a.m. on the 2nd for duck farms in Jeonbuk, nationwide contract farms of Samho Sulfur Duck, livestock facilities, and vehicles.
