Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 24th that it secured a total of 1.9 billion KRW (850 million KRW from the provincial government, 1.05 billion KRW from the city government) for the 2025 Small-scale Enterprise Environment Improvement Project led by Gyeonggi Province, achieving first place overall in the province.
The Small-scale Enterprise Environment Improvement Project aims to strengthen corporate competitiveness and promote regional economic revitalization and job creation by improving poor infrastructure, labor and work environments, and fire safety facilities for small and medium-sized enterprises. Along with the SME development fund loan support project, it is one of the most satisfying projects for companies, especially providing practical assistance to small-scale workplaces with limited financial capacity, making it highly popular.
This year, new projects include five infrastructure projects such as water supply installation worth 1.35 billion KRW, and 24 labor and work environment projects such as dormitory renovations worth 550 million KRW, which are scheduled to be implemented.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Creating a business-friendly environment is the shortcut to revitalizing the local economy. We will make Pocheon a city where companies take the lead in recovering and driving the livelihood economy.”
