HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Secures First Order of the Year with 3.7 Trillion Won Contract for 12 Container Ships
Order for Ultra-Large LNG Dual-Fuel Container Carriers
Fills About 15% of This Year's Order Target
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai's shipbuilding division, has secured its first order of the year with a construction contract worth 3.7 trillion won. This amount represents approximately 15% of its annual order target.
On January 23, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering announced that it had recently signed a contract with a European shipping company to build 12 ultra-large container carriers. The total contract value is approximately 3.716 trillion won.

Meanwhile, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has set its shipbuilding and offshore division's order target for this year at $18.05 billion, a 34% increase from last year's target of $13.5 billion. The scale of this latest order amounts to about 15% of the annual target.
