This campaign was organized to promote a culture of integrity in the public sector ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, with Mayor Kang Gijung and members of the Audit Committee participating together.
During the campaign, participants pledged to 'neither give nor receive gifts' and to 'eradicate drunk driving.' Portable batteries engraved with the slogan 'Creating an Integrity World Together' were produced and distributed as part of the integrity promotion effort.
Mayor Kang Gijung stated, "Starting with this campaign, we will do our best to ensure that public officials realize an integrity-driven Gwangju this year as well," and added, "Since fairness is synonymous with integrity, I will take the lead in creating a fair Gwangju City."
Meanwhile, in order to achieve the highest grade in this year's comprehensive integrity rating, Gwangju City plans to analyze last year's evaluation results, further strengthen its advantages, and reinforce vulnerable areas from a new perspective by implementing tailored measures for each sector. Existing initiatives such as the Integrity Happy Call, Mobile Team, and Integrity Week 'Jeans Day' will also be improved and diversified.
