VT's 'Riddle Shot' Obtains China NMPA Sanitary Approval... Accelerates Market Entry with Product Name 'Crystal Essence'
Comprehensive beauty company VT Cosmetics (hereinafter VT) announced on the 22nd that it has obtained the ‘Liddle Shot’ hygiene permit from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). With this permit acquisition, VT will be able to start full-scale sales in the Chinese market. Initially, it plans to enter the Chinese market through online shopping malls.
The Chinese hygiene permit is an essential certification that overseas cosmetics companies must obtain to sell products within China. Due to stringent review standards and complex registration procedures, obtaining the permit requires considerable time and effort, and it is regarded as a key gateway to entering the Chinese cosmetics market.
The products that obtained the hygiene permit this time include VT’s representative product ‘Liddle Shot 100’ and other major products in the Liddle Shot lineup. Liddle Shot is VT’s flagship product and will enter the Chinese market under the name ‘Crystal Essence.’ VT plans to strengthen marketing through collaborations with local influencers simultaneously with its entry into the domestic sections of China’s Taobao and Tmall.
According to the China Specialist Forum (CSF) of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, the market size of the Chinese cosmetics industry in 2023 was approximately 516.9 billion yuan (about 101 trillion KRW), a 6.4% increase from the previous year, and it is expected to reach about 579.1 billion yuan (about 114 trillion KRW) by 2025.
