Kim Dong-yeon Draws Attention by Using 'Works by People with Developmental Disabilities' for Eulsa Year New Year's Card Production
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon has attracted attention by producing the 2025 Eulsan year New Year's card using works by artists with developmental disabilities.
On the 22nd, Gyeonggi Province announced that Governor Kim Dong-yeon utilized two works created by artists with developmental disabilities, including artist Jung Eun-hye, known from the drama "Our Blues," to design the Eulsan year New Year's card.
One depicts a snake wearing a crown and waving its hand, while the other shows an unusual snake with wide-open eyes and its tongue sticking out among camellia flowers.

View original imageThe production of this New Year's card began last December when Governor Kim Dong-yeon visited the creative space for artists with developmental disabilities, the "Amazing Outsider Art Center," located in Yangpyeong.
On the occasion of World Disability Day, the Art Center hosted Governor Kim, who said, "My dream is to create a world where we live together," and promised to provide opportunities to share the works of artists with developmental disabilities with many people.
Subsequently, Governor Kim commissioned artists Jang Jin-young and Jung Eun-hye, affiliated with the Amazing Outsider Art Center, to design the New Year's card.

The New Year's card, produced with the theme of the Year of the Blue Snake 2025, will be delivered with gratitude to about 12,000 collaborators of the provincial government, including government officials and policy beneficiaries, ahead of the Eulsan year Lunar New Year holiday.
