U.S. President Donald Trump signaled strong policy changes by continuously signing executive orders immediately after his inauguration. After the inauguration ceremony, President Trump signed orders including re-withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement in front of his supporters, then moved to the White House to continue signing executive orders.
On the 20th (local time), President Trump visited the indoor arena 'Capital One Arena' where his supporters had gathered after the inauguration ceremony, gave a speech, and signed executive orders on the spot.

He also signed an executive order freezing government regulations and hiring until the second Trump administration fully controls the executive branch. The New York Times (NYT) commented that this "shows how wrestling-style theatrics are connected to governance."
In addition, he signed orders including △federal employees working five days a week in the office △government agencies instructed to fully respond to inflation △withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement and sending a withdrawal letter to the United Nations (UN) △prohibition of government censorship and restoration of press freedom △ending government weaponization.
While President Trump was signing, supporters responded by chanting "USA." Especially, cheers erupted among supporters when he signed the order withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement.
President Trump said, "I will immediately withdraw from the unfair and one-sided Paris Climate Agreement ripoff." After finishing signing, he threw the pen he used to the supporters.
He then moved to the White House and continued signing. President Trump signed an executive order pardoning 1,500 people indicted for the January 6 Capitol riot. According to the Associated Press (AP), President Trump also instructed the Attorney General to dismiss 450 pending criminal cases related to the January 6 riot defendants.
He signed executive orders reversing the Biden administration's immigration and border policies, signaling a major overhaul of the immigration system. He signed orders including △designating drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations △ending birthright citizenship △declaring a national emergency at the southern border. He also signed orders withdrawing the refugee program rebuild and the task force (TF) for reuniting families separated at the southern border. According to CNN and others, President Trump fired four senior immigration court officials immediately after the inauguration.
He signed an executive order reversing the Biden administration's policy of removing Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. He also canceled △new oil and gas development off the U.S. coasts of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico △sanctions on far-right Israeli settlers in the West Bank △measures to monitor and regulate the risks of artificial intelligence (AI) △protections for transgender soldiers. He signed an executive order withdrawing from the World Health Organization (WHO).
As announced, he signed an executive order allowing TikTok to operate for 75 days. President Trump said, "The United States deserves to take half of TikTok." In April last year, the U.S. Congress passed a bill banning new downloads of TikTok starting from the 19th of this month unless ByteDance, TikTok's Chinese parent company, sells its U.S. business rights to an American company due to security concerns.
However, he did not immediately sign the previously announced executive order imposing universal tariffs. According to CNN, President Trump's economic team is still discussing how to implement the tariff pledge. President Trump emphasized his intention to impose tariffs, saying, "You will see many companies coming back thanks to tariffs."

He also said he is considering imposing a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico starting February 1. Earlier in November last year, President Trump warned that if these countries did not crack down on illegal drugs and immigration, he would impose a 25% tariff immediately after inauguration, but this has been delayed by about ten days. Regarding China, he said the tariffs imposed during his first administration are still in effect.
