Yeongju City Holds Livestock Quarantine Deliberation Meeting and Selects Preventive Measures
Yeongju City held the '2025 Livestock Quarantine Deliberation Meeting' on the 17th at the Agricultural Technology Center seminar room, with 11 members of the Livestock Quarantine Deliberation Committee attending, including representatives from related departments and livestock-related organizations and institutions.
At this meeting, a comprehensive livestock quarantine plan was established to preemptively block national disaster-type livestock diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease, lumpy skin disease, AI, and African swine fever. In addition, preventive vaccines and disinfectants for each livestock species to be used in this year's livestock quarantine projects were selected.
Furthermore, in the event of an outbreak of livestock infectious diseases, the division of tasks and roles among related organizations was discussed, and it was decided to make every effort from initial quarantine to blocking livestock diseases based on organic communication and a cooperative system.
Currently, Yeongju City operates key disinfection facilities 24 hours a day to block major livestock infectious diseases, and distributes disinfectants and other supplies to strengthen self-disinfection at livestock farms, ensuring thorough farm-level quarantine measures.
